Our story began when Amy and Michael Johnson founded Booma Pest Control in 2025, inspired by Amy’s 20+ years of experience in public health, mosquito management, and international outbreak response. After seeing firsthand how pests impact health and wellbeing, especially after her husband’s experience with dengue fever, Amy knew Sandgate families needed trusted, family-safe pest control solutions. Brisbane’s climate and Sandgate’s unique environment make homes and businesses vulnerable to termites, rodents, and other pests, creating a real need for expert, reliable pest management in the area.
